The Lakes are Still takes place over several years, moving through the seasons of the year as well as the seasons of life. Our characters, are forced to deal with grief when it becomes present in their life after a tragic accident. Our goal is to showcase the different ways in which people deal with grief and loss; and hopefully provide some comfort to those who can relate.
This show has something for everyone - the songs and performances are appropriate for ALL AGES. The themes are a bit more mature surrounding grief from a non-graphic, accidental death. This show is an original story by Kennedy Moore (P/23 Program Director) and Connor Adams (P/23 Alum). |
Phoenix/23 is an ASL Theatrical Signing Troupe whose mission is to bring awareness and better understand the deaf culture and community. P/23 finds a way for younger generations to learn and be passionate about learning ASL then we can help get more accessible opportunities for our local deaf community. P/23 is a performance troupe that uses theatrical signing to tell stories through signing and music. When we hold events our proceeds go to the local deaf community by donating to JCIL: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services.
Our seniors directed and produced 5 pieces of their own for the showcase. As well as, 5 pieces from Kennedy Moore the P/23 Director. This show is great for all age ranges and has something for EVERYONE to enjoy. |
